“I can say that life is good to me, has been, and is good. So I think my task is to be good to it. So how do you be good to life? You live it.”
Wise words from a very wise man, words that ring true in my own life. My life is good, and I aim to make every day, a good day!
This ‘good life’ started in Prince George, British Colombia. I spent a small portion of my youth living all over the B.C. interior, appropriately referred to by many as, “God’s Country”, for its otherworldly beauty. Later on, we moved to Whitecourt, Alberta where I did most of my schooling. Finally, I finished off my high school years in Drayton Valley, Alberta.
After high school, I decided to venture out on my own in the world and took a job doing door-to-door sales travelling all across Canada. Let me tell you, what an amazing experience that was! This job provided me with a firsthand look at all of the unique areas, big and small, from coast-to-coast, that make up our fine Country. I was able to meet people from all provinces and all backgrounds; further proving to me that we are a great nation, made up of the most kindhearted people and during this time I developed my passion for working with people. Once I understood how to converse with people from all walks of life, it was easy to master the art of selling, in any capacity.
I spent the next 25 years of my career primarily in sales and management. This opportunity provided me with a great deal of knowledge on different industries, people, corporations, and an acute business sense and savvy. I am a firm believer that personal and professional growth means having a constant hunger for knowledge and learning. I will always possess an appetite to understand my surroundings better and be a more compassionate person; I teach my kids these same principles too. With this in mind, I have embarked on the next chapter of life, in Residential Real Estate where I enjoy managing the professional and personal expectations of buyers and sellers in our fast moving Alberta economy.
I’ve always harboured an interest and desire to be in the Real Estate Industry. My wife, Angel Mobey, (one of the top rated Agents at Liv Real Estate, for Satisfaction, Recommendation and Performance by past clients) pushed me to follow my dreams. She is truly an amazing woman who supports me in all that I do!
Aside from our careers, my wife and I keep ourselves busy with a variety of interests; including our 4 amazing teenagers that ‘wow’ us on a daily basis. We love watching them become more independent and responsible young adults!
In our free time we enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking, golfing, hiking, biking, and walking through our beautiful river valley. We also enjoy live music, latin dancing and consider ourselves to be “foodies” who love to cook and entertain.
My goals in life seem to be changing the older that I get. Professionally, I want to succeed for my clients, I want to earn their trust and to have them be confident that I will be their strongest advocate. Personally, I want to travel with my wife and experience different cultures, places, and people. I want to help guide our 4 children into becoming great people and teach them to chase their dreams, just like I am! Lastly, I want to live a balanced and healthy lifestyle so that I can enjoy all that life has to offer … one good day at time!
