The Area

Crscent Heights is contained within an area of 1.63 kilometres, of which you will find a variety of housing styles. As one of the city's oldest communities, you will see a range of housing styles, from the traditional prairie and craftsman bungalow to large, newly renovated detached homes with front and back yards, to townhomes and duplexes.

The community is bisected by Centre Street N, and its central orientation puts it in proximity to the downtown core. Crescent Heights is neighboured by Balmoral, Renfrew, Bridgeland- Riverside, Sunnyside, Rosedale, and Mount Pleasant.

Amenities, Attractions, & Entertainment

Crescent Heights is Calgary's 11th most walkable community, and most errands can be accomplished on foot. You will find various restaurants, from international cuisine to pizza, fish and chips, bars, and coffee shops.

There are multiple pharmacies, an Oriental Foods Supermarket, and several local businesses! Peter's Drive-In garners nationwide appeal for a good reason, and you will have access to it within your own community!

The Crescent Heights Community Association serves the area and holds monthly events to foster connections within the community. They also offer community halls for rental and a neighbourhood Garden Plot.

Parks, Trails & Green Spaces

With the Bow River as the communities southern boundary, you will be treated to the Bow River Pathway, which runs along the river, offering a tranquil setting for runs, walks, and bike rides.

Rotary Park, a 5.9-hectare venue outfitted with a spray waterpark, picnic tables, playgrounds, tennis courts, and lawn bowling areas, is easily accessed within the locale. The park also has two vista points that offer an incredible perspective of the city's skyline.

West of Rotary Park is Sunnyside Bank Park and Prince's Island Park, while access to the McHugh Bluff is found on the community's northwestern edge.

Education

Crescent Heights offers its residents four options within and in the surrounding area;

Rosedale School (k-9)

Stanley Jones School (K-9)

Colonel Macleod School (5-9)

Crescent Heights High School: Advance Placement university preparatory programs and off-campus work experience programs.

Transportation & Accessibility

Due to its central position, Crescent Heights proffers easy access to all areas of the city. Several transit lines utilize Centre Street N and offer a north or southbound commute.

16th Avenue NE lies at the northern boundary, and you will find transit lines allowing an east or westbound commute.

You are within minutes of the downtown core by car, on foot, or by bike, and you will enjoy flowing river views dominated by Calgary's cityscape as you cross the Centre Street Bridge.

Northbound on Centre Street N will get you to 16th Avenue NE for a westbound commute towards the University of Calgary, McMahon Stadium, and The Foothills Medical Centre, or an eastbound trip to Deerfoot Trail for highway accessibility.
