Lake Bonavista comprises a massive 5.4 square kilometres, making it Calgary's fourteenth largest community in terms of land area. Most properties accommodate amply spaced front and back yards. Lake Bonavista is well-served, with three public elementary schools and one Catholic elementary institution. Lake Bonavista ElementaryAndrew Sibbald ElementarySam Livingston Elementary, and St. Boniface Catholic School each accept students from kindergarten to grade six.

For middle school, Nickle School and St. Bonaventure Catholic School are located in the community. David Thompson School is a nearby alternative, offering French immersion.

Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School offers Advanced Placement university courses, French immersion, off-campus work experience, and dual credit programs.

Transportation & Accessibility 

here are four bus lines operating within the neighbourhood, allowing for a 30-minute commute as far north as Acadia, east as Deer Ridge, south as Somerset, and west as Southwood.

Lake Bonavista is easily accessible via Anderson Road SE and Bow Bottom trail, which are located off Deerfoot Trail. You will have multiple routes available to the downtown core via Macleod and Deerfoot Trails for a commute within 25 minutes under ideal conditions.
