Liv and Learn
If you came to one of our “Liv and Learn” Office meetings, you’d find things are a lot different here than at other brokerages. For starters, everyone actually comes to our meetings, because everyone actually learns at the meetings. At Liv, we have an extremely collaborative group; we’re all successful, and we all and truly want to help each other, help our clients. With plenty of leads coming in through the Liv Real Estate web sites, there is no feast or famine mentality at our office (more on that later). At Liv, your primary focus can be on your relationship with your client, and that is why our associates are three times as productive as the average agent.
Our broker, Sheldon Johnston leads the meetings and has over 25 years industry experience including serving as a RECA Council Member, REIX Advisory Board Member, RAE Board of Director. He has also volunteered on countless committees at the local and provincial level. Sheldon’s the guy many other brokers turn to when they’re not sure how to handle a situation.
Sheldon is recognized for his innovative and successful approaches to sales; his unique strategies have made him a perennially recognized top performer in the Real Estate Industry. Sheldon’s hands-on training methods have helped many agents go from moderate productivity to high level performance. His on-going coaching and personalized mentorship with each agent, is based on his own extensive experience and consistent personal success. Sheldon’s wealth of personal and Industry knowledge, translates into more confident, higher producing agents across the board.
Liv Associates also get the benefit of receiving input from Sara MacLennan, our Marketing Director. Sara has a wealth of knowledge and experience in online marketing, Real Estate Marketing at a National and local level, and Real Estate training. Sara is the former Director of Marketing for Coldwell Banker Canada and has worked in marketing and project management roles at a number of “dot-coms” and larger companies including Rogers Communications. Sara teaches our associates about marketing and technology, and sets them up with the most effective solutions, so they can focus on their clients. Sara is specifically sought out by Industry leaders for high level advice, and is behind countless innovations that have led Liv Real Estate to be a trailblazer in our Industry.
Together Sara and Sheldon bring a unique combination of talents that allow them to do things that have led to Liv Real Estate being an Industry leader in North America.

Our Agents thoroughly enjoy what they do. We know this to be true from the number of happy clients we have and the overwhelming amount of repeat and referral business that they generate. In 2013, our Agents averaged 31 ends and over $200,000 in gross commissions. That stat, by the way, is counting everyone from rookies that were only licensed 8 months out of the year to our seasoned veterans (if you read the small print on some other brand’s stats they don’t include agents with less than 2 years experience). We are invested in our agent’s success, and we can help you succeed too.

Service Not Sales
When we recognize our agents with awards, it is for excellence in service, not sales. There is no sales leader board or loser club at Liv Real Estate, but we do love to share stories from satisfied clients. When you’re struggling or looking to grow your business we have one-on-one business coaching sessions to help you reach your goals. Each Liv Real Estate Associate has a Bio page on our web site, where potential clients can get to know them; these bio pages also include third party verified customer satisfaction ratings and testimonials. We believe you ARE what you measure, and measuring customer satisfaction leads to happy, returning clients. If you want to be recognized as the number one sales person in your office, then we wouldn’t be a fit for you.

There’s Old School, and then there’s Liv
Liv Associates are paperless and mobile, we have been since 2005 (don’t worry, we help get you set up!). Since our agents can literally do their business from anywhere, they aren’t required to physically come to the office to work everyday. When our agents do come to the office it is to meet with clients, to learn, or to socialize. That’s why you won’t find any bullpens, cubicles, agent offices or vast empty spaces at our Liv Office. We are certainly not the cavernous mega brokerages we’ve seen popping up around town. Our Liv Office is set up with meeting rooms, a phenomenal training space, a huge kitchen and a social area with a pool table, wine bar, and even a BBQ. You will often find us Liv-ing it up on Friday afternoons getting ready to take on the world that weekend. Take a walk through our Office using Google Street View.
