Life has an interesting way of throwing curveballs at you; I was born in Calgary, raised in Coastal BC and honestly never thought I would find myself back in Alberta. As an adult, I've come to enjoy Edmonton and all of its' charms; I am nothing if not adaptable!
Selena’s responsiveness was remarkable, and she was always available to address my questions or concerns promptly, which significantly reduced any anxiety associated with the biggest purchase of my life so far.
Selena was very knowledgeable, thorough and obliging. She responded quickly to our questions and never oversteped. She listened to our needs and did not push us. We would recommend Selena if your looking to sell or buy. We will certainly call her for our next real estate transaction. Selena make...
My journey here started when I met my now Husband and, eventually, his two children. We met while working on a job in the Village of Queen Charlotte on Haida Gwaii, my previous home. For those unfamiliar with BC's geography, Haida Gwaii (formerly named the Queen Charlotte Islands) is an archipelago off the northern coast of the Province and is the unceded territory of the Haida people. Moving back into a large City has been quite the transition; however, it has been a really nice change of pace from Island Time.
Despite my relative youth, I have had two very successful careers, previously in the Culinary Industry and the fitness industry as a personal trainer/holistic nutritionist. Both industries have taught me invaluable skills that I have taken with me into my life as a Realtor. You might be wondering how on earth any of these industries could compliment each other when they are so very different. I have realized that I am happiest in my career and personal life when helping those around me feel good and achieve their goals, which is embodied in all three. Whether I'm making you an amazing meal that leaves you speechless, coaching you to deadlift 325lbs or helping you transition into a new home, I have your goals and best interests at heart.
Moving into a career in Real Estate started in a relatively non-conventional way. I was looking into buying my first home and was increasingly frustrated with how confusing the process was. I am a keen learner and absorb information like a sponge - once I go down an information rabbit hole, I need to understand things inside and out. With an abundance of questions and very few answers at my disposal, I thought, why not look into getting my Real Estate License? It turns out this was one of the best ideas I could have had; in addition to answering my own questions, I could help others understand the process more clearly. Anything I can do to make a transaction enjoyable and stress-free, I am there! No question is too big or too small, and I am always happy to help.
On a more personal note, I am a small-town girl who is a nature and animal lover through and through. I have two dogs, an English Mastiff and an American Bully, and two cats…. This number is slowly increasing, though!
In my "off" time, if I'm not in the kitchen, you can usually find me squished under 200+lbs of dog on the couch daydreaming of my future Finca (Country Estate) in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. I'm also busy making plans for my garden, learning more about foraging and hunting in Alberta, and trying to get outside as much as I can when it's not -20. Contrary to popular belief, I also do enjoy human company as well. I take a genuine interest in learning others' stories and will treat you like a part of my family. Many people say they have an open-door policy; however, I like to say I have an open fridge policy. Not only are you welcome in my home, but you are also welcome to make yourself at home!
I look forward to getting to know anyone willing to share their stories with me.
