Elbow Park is contained on a land area of 1.8 square kilometres, making it one of the largest inner-city neighbourhoods in Calgary. Education 

Within the community, Elbow Park School is an elementary school which offers kindergarten to grade six. Early Grey Elementary School and Rideau Park School are alternatives within the area, with Rideau Park accommodating students from kindergarten to grade nine. 

For High School, Western Canada High School, one of the city's finest public schools, offers grades 10 to 12, early French immersion training, the prestigious International Baccalaureate Program, and off-campus work experience.

For private schools, Rundle Academy, Clear Water Academy, and Master’s Academy & College are all within 10 minutes by car. Each school maintains a selective admissions criteria, smaller class sizes, educational specialists, enhanced curriculums, and exceptional facilities. 

Transportation & Accessibility 

One bus line operates within the community allowing for a 30-minute commute to as far north as Crescent Heights, east as Manchester, south as Canyon Meadows, and west as Lincoln Park. 

Elbow Park is easily accessible via 14th Street SW and Elbow Drive SW. 14th Street SW allows access to major work centres in the northwest, such as the University of Calgary, Foot Hills Medical Centre, and the Alberta Children's Hospital. 

Macleod Trail is accessible via Elbow Drive SW for a 10-minute commute downtown and further access to major work centres in the northeast and further south.
