The Area

Erlton sits on an area of 0.5 square kilometres and is enveloped between the Elbow River and Macleod Trail, making the district a haven for its residents. Erlton is partially secluded from other communities. Because of this, it is one of the safest inner-city neighbourhoods in Calgary, making it an excellent option for newlyweds, families with young children, and professionals.

South of the community is Erlton Park, an ideal space for walks, dog walks, meditation, and relaxation after stressful work periods. Rocky Beach is found across the Elbow River to the west and is an excellent venue for family outings.

On the opposite end, on the community's western edge, is the Reader Rock Garden, Calgary's first ever Legacy Park. This unique, 1.65-acre space boasts bridges, benches, blossoming flowers, and lush greenery and can be enjoyed for personal escapes, various events, and photography sessions!

Scotsman’s Hill and Enmax Park are a stone’s throw away, with even more expansive greens-aces, and unmatched perspectives of Calgary’s ever-evolving skyline. With the area's safety and abundance of green spaces, it is no wonder Erlton is considered one of the city's hidden gems!

Transportation & Accessibility 

There is one bus line that provides access as far north as Tuxedo Park, and as far south as Southwood, within 30 minutes. The Erlton Stampede LRT Station is also within walking distance to the community, on Calgary’s Red Line. 

With Macleod Trail bisecting the community, you will have quick and easy access to the downtown core, with the commute taking 5 minutes under ideal driving conditions.

Deerfoot Trail can be accessed via Blackfoot Trail and will facilitate a 25-minute trip to the airport under ideal driving conditions. Northbound on Crowchild Trail will serve as your primary route to word centres in the northwest, with the trip lasting anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes under ideal driving conditions.
