The Area

Highwood Park was named after the nearby Nose Hill Park, originally known as "Highwood Park." The area was primarily developed as a residential neighbourhood comprising a mix of bungalows, bi-levels, and two-story houses. The majority of the homes in Highwood were built in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of them have since been renovated or updated.
In recent years, there has been an increase in infill development in the neighbourhood, which has resulted in the construction of new, modern homes that blend in with the existing architecture. Some newer homes feature contemporary designs, including clean lines, large windows, and open floor plans.

Amenities, Attractions, & Entertainment

Highwood is also home to the Calgary Winter Club, which offers members access to a range of athletic facilities and social events. For entertainment, Highwood residents can visit nearby malls like Northland Mall or Market Mall, which offer shopping and dining options.
