Mission was founded in 1883 by French-speaking Catholic priests and became known as The Mission District and Calgary's faith centre. It has developed into a vibrant and bustling community, serving as a great option for newlyweds, young families, and professionals!

With 17th Avenue to the north and the trendy and lively 4th Street SW to the west, Mission offers one of the best nightlife experiences in Calgary! You will enjoy one of the city's highest concentrations of bars, patios, lounges, and pubs! In the summertime, you can enjoy the Stampede experience to the fullest, with grounds a walking distance away. 

However, you won't have to worry about enjoying all the delicious food while enjoying yourself on the weekends. The MNP Community & Sports Centre is minutes away by car or on foot and is regarded as one of the best facilities in the province. Transportation & Accessibility 

With segmented bike lanes along the streets and roads extending to trails adjacent to the Elbow River, Mission is also regarded as a "bikers paradise." With a central orientation, you are close to everything! The downtown core is a mere five minutes by Car via Macleod Trail or 15 minutes on foot.

There are a few bus lines in Mission that allow a 30-minute commute as far north as Tuxedo Park, east as Radisson Heights, south as Southwood, and west as Rosscarrock. Erlton Stampede LRT Station is also within minutes and offers north and southbound access on the city's Red Line.

Despite your location in the south, you can reach the University of Calgary, the Foothills Medical Centre, and the Calgary International Airport within an hour by transit. By car, Mission is easily accessible to Crowchild Trail or Deerfoot Trail via Macleod Trail and Memorial Drive for north and southbound access.
