The Fox Hollow Golf Course is a quick northbound trip away and offers a driving range with practice facilities, an 18-hole golf course, and a clubhouse restaurant in a serene setting! You will find excellent athletic facilities within the community, such as a racquetball and squash centre, multiple tennis courts, and the Renfrew Aquatic & Recreation Centre.  

Parks, Trails & Green Spaces

Renfrew's Community Centre playground is a major hit with local children, as it is large, with great play equipment and spaces! There are also several other basic playgrounds throughout the community and surrounding areas, with smaller lots with green space, such as Rupert and Saverio Parks. Sports fans will love the Renfrew Athletic Park, which offers a fully enclosed, 76-metre baseball and softball diamond, two regulation-sized soccer fields, and a barbecue area!

To the west of Renfrew is the community off-leash dog park, with abundant space and slopes to keep your family mascot in top shape! The park leads to a segment of the Nose Creek Pathway, which extends as part of a 3.7-kilometre vertical trail. 

At the southeastern edge of the community is Bottomlands Park, which boasts 17 hectares of green spaces, picnic areas, a playground, and pathways for walks, bike rides, and jogs!

Transportation & Accessibility 

Four bus lines provide access to as far north as Throncliffe, south as Mission, east as Sunridge, and west as Briar Hill within 30 minutes. There are direct bus lines to the University of Calgary and the Foothills Medical Centre in approximately 35 minutes. Direct lines are also available to the downtown core for a 20 to 25-minute commute.

By car, you will enjoy multiple options for a commute to the downtown core; Centre Street, Edmonton Trail, and Memorial Drive will each get you there in under 10 minutes under ideal conditions. An eastbound trip on 16th Avenue will provide access to SAIT, the University of Calgary, and the Foothills Medical Centre within 20 minutes. You also love the quick access to the Deerfoot Trail!
