The neighbourhood is home to Saint Andrews Park and is close to a variety of green spaces including Montgomery Hill, Confederation Park and Edworthy Park, which provides many cycling paths and walking trails along the Bow River. With its proximity to the Trans-Canada Highway and a number of educational institutions, St Andrews Heights has a variety of convenience stores and restaurants close by. The North Hill Shopping Centre is a popular local destination and features a number of shops including Sears, Peoples Jewellers and Shoppers Drug Mart.

Main Routes & Public Transportation

Crowchild Trail SW runs to the east of the neighbourhood and provides northern access to the University of Calgary and the communities of Brentwood and Dalhousie. In the south, it provides access to Mount Royal University and Glenmore Trail SW. The area's proximity to the Bow River means that there are many cycling paths nearby, which provide access to areas throughout the city. The Banff Trail C-Train Station is just a short walk from the neighbourhood and provides access to a number of communities in Calgary.
