The Pumphouse and West Village Theatres are located within the community for live musicals and original plays. Contemporary Calgary, one of the city's largest art galleries, is also minutes away! 

Parks, Trails & Green Spaces

 Sunalta is near Shaw Millennium Park, a spectacular venue that offers something for everyone. The seven-hectare park hosts a skatepark, basketball courts, a beach volleyball court, a scenic mini waterfall, a clock tower, and ample green space. The Sunalta Off-Leash Area is nearby and entirely available for you and your dog.  

 The community is also near the Bow River and the Bow River Trail, which begins within Sunalta. The looping trail offers a scenic view of Calgary's cityscape while you enjoy the flow of the Bow River!

Transportation & Accessibility 

There is one bus line that operates within Sunalta that will allow for a 30-minute commute to as far north as Banff Trail and Montgomery, as east as Radisson Heights, south as Altadore and Lincoln Park, and west as Aspen Woods. You will have several direct routes to the downtown core for a 20 to 25-minute commute. Sunalta Station is directly accessible to the community, and runs east to westbound on Calgary’s Blue Line. 

With Crowchild Trail SW running through Sunalta, residents have quick accessibility to a major traffic artery for north and southbound travel. Crowchild Trail will allow for a 10-minute southbound commute to Mount Royal and a five to ten-minute commute to the Foothill's Medical Centre and the University of Calgary. The downtown core is accessible within 15 minutes via 9th Avenue SW.
