The community has several parks and green spaces, including Somerset Park and Somerset Water Park, which features a man-made lake, a beach volleyball court, and a playground. In addition to Somerset Water Park, the community has several other green spaces, including Somerset Park and Somerset Hill, a natural park that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Fish Creek Provincial Park, Canada's second-largest urban park, lies adjacent to Somerset, offering a range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, canoeing, and wildlife viewing.

Transportation & Accessibility 

Somerset is well-connected to the rest of Calgary through several major roadways, including Macleod Trail and Stoney Trail. It is well-served by five bus routes that connect residents to the city's transit system. You can expect a 30-minute commute as far north as Alyth-Manchester, east as Sundance, and west as Bridlewood. The Shawnessy LRT station, located a stone's throw away, provides easy access to downtown Calgary and other parts of the city.
