The Braeside, St. Albert Area

Situated on the banks of the Sturgeon River, Braeside is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city of St. Albert. Seen as a historic neighbourhood consisting of low-density residential buildings, Braeside has preserved a predominantly single-family aesthetic. Large, luxury homes overlooking the river have become synonymous with the neighbourhood, and it’s one of the few neighbourhoods in St. Albert with back lanes and alleys. Homes for sale in Braeside consist largely of single-family homes, with a small selection of apartments, duplexes, condos and townhouses.

Braeside Amenities & Local Recreation

Braeside is a scenic, mature community ideally situated on the banks of the Sturgeon River with the lush and ample green spaces of Burnham and Braeside Ravines to enjoy. Over the years, the neighbourhood has been revitalized, but the Sturgeon River and the expansive nature that comes along with it continues to be its prized feature.

The neighbourhood is also home to Red Willow Park, Butterfield Park, and Braeside Park, along with Fowler Athletic Park, which is home to the St. Albert Track & Field Club. Featuring a recently refurbished track, Fowler Athletic Park is a great amenity utilized by schools, local organizations and the general public.

Residents are within walking distance to St. Albert centre, located just across the river by footbridge, providing commercial amenities and other shops and services.

Education

For families with children, there are a number of schools that are accessible to the Braeside community, including elementary, French immersion (elementary), junior high, and high schools.
