Born in Pakistan, I lived the first 5 years of my life there before my parents made the huge life-changing decision to relocate our family to the United States. Moving to Idaho was a far stretch from where I grew up, and I felt entirely out of my element. I didn’t speak or understand a single word of English, and Western Culture as a whole was a completely foreign way of life for me. Each new chapter in life often includes a learning curve, but this felt like a particularly steep one for me at 5 years old. However, I was determined to quickly adapt to my new life in the States, even if it was initially a struggle to learn English.
As a child, I loved being outdoors. I would stay outside for hours, not wanting to miss a moment. Idaho, in particular, offered gorgeous scenery year-round and was a great backdrop for most of my Childhood. I often got into trouble for keeping my little Sister out too late, as I wanted her to be a part of my adventures and explorations. My family did not have a lot, but we had each other, and we became exceptionally close after making such a big move. When you relocate to another part of the World, where you don’t know anyone, family really becomes your entire support system; you become strong as a collective.
After 7 years of adapting to our new life in the States, my Dad finished his Ph.D. and made another drastic but positive decision for our Family; he moved us to Canada. The beautiful City of Edmonton has been my Family’s Home ever since.
As the oldest of 6 children, I am a natural caretaker; I always feel a great responsibility to help others. As I got older, I realized that I am passionate about helping others and making others feel good about themselves. When they say “be the change that you want to see in the World”, I take that personally. I wanted to belong in my new Home of Idaho and eventually my forever Home of Edmonton; helping others feel included makes me feel good and is what I have sought for myself. Inclusivity is a gift that I’m happy to share; with my time, personal experience and now, my Real Estate knowledge.
I have always felt that I have an artistic side, and this manifested itself into a huge passion for makeup and all things beauty. As an adult, I became a Professional Make-Up Artist, because it allowed me to flex my creative muscles, and I fell in love with seeing people light up over the outcome of looking like their best selves.
Today, I am a Single Mom to 3 beautiful children, and my family is of paramount importance. I consistently work so hard at everything I do so that I can give my kids the best life possible and show them that no matter the circumstances, you can achieve anything with hard work and determination if you set your mind to it. We love spending time together as a family and enjoy swimming, cuddling and watching movies - and we’re huge Camping lovers.
In 2020, I started my career in Real Estate. Building lasting relationships and helping clients find their dream home is something that I understand personally. Moving across the World - twice - gave the meaning of “Home” a new level of depth for my Family and me. Home isn’t always a physical place but a feeling you’re trying to capture. I will never forget when I purchased my first home, how much I valued my Real Estate Agent and the sense of accomplishment that it brought me. Buying my home was a moment that I will cherish forever; I want to give my clients the same feeling of security.
Helping you find the perfect home, a place to feel welcome and proud of, would be my greatest privilege. It should be a fun and stress-free process; let me show you how!
I look forward to meeting you and helping you Love Where You Liv.
