I’m a REALTOR®, but I’ve never sold a house.

As Co-Founder and Marketing Director of Liv Real Estate, I provide our agents with the right tools to excel at selling real estate. I make our Brokerage easy to find and do business with.

With over 15 years of Corporate Level and Residential Real Estate Marketing Experience, I know exactly what it takes to make a great Real Estate Agent. The one imperative skill that is often overlooked, or not exercised to its full potential, is ‘marketing.’

Marketing is where my brand of expertise benefits great agents looking to offer an exceptional real estate experience for their clients.

Before creating my own real estate marketing tools, I was a small-town farm girl, in rural Ontario. As a kid, I LOVED horseback riding and raised and trained horses in our backyard acreage/working farm. At first, I wanted to be an equine vet, but Vet School was harder to get into than Med School; so I changed my focus from saving animals to saving the world, and studied Ecology at the University of Guelph.

Looking for a change post-University, I moved to Toronto, and got an entry-level position at a dot-com start-up; while simultaneously acquiring a post-grad in “E-commerce and Internet Marketing”. I worked at a few “dot coms” that all evaporated in the dot-com bust. All was not lost, however, as through this, I developed a love for project management and online marketing. Looking for security in a dot-com world, I found a job at Coldwell Banker Canada that I loved and became their Director of Online Marketing.

What’s your dream vacation?
There are so many places I’d love to go…. right now I have my eyes on a cruise from Peru to Tahiti with some amazing stops in between.
What’s your favourite way to spend a day?
Starting By: Going for a run with Sheldon in the stunning Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. Breakfast: Stopping at a quaint patisserie and exploring the city of lights, by foot or on bikes. Mid-Afternoon: Picking up some amazing local meats cheeses and baguette at a market around the corner from our apartment and having a picnic with wine in the park. Evening: Dinner date and then watching the Eiffel tower sparkle from the Champ de Mars, while enjoying another beautiful bottle of delectable French Wine. Bonne Nuit!
What’s the most unusual job you ever had?
I was a licensed boat captain/tour guide on the Toronto Harbour during University. While driving 100 passengers around the harbour I had to explain at least once a day that there were no sharks in the Lake, and that it’s the “CN Tower”, not the “CNN Tower!”

Favourite books?
Oh there are so many of them… Great Gatsby, Life of Pi, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Skinny Legs and All, Time Traveler’s Wife, The Book of Negroes, Pillars of the Earth and World Without End (and most historical fiction), The Nightingale, All the Light we Cannot See, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series, I could go on and on.
How do you like to spend your spare time?
I love creating extravagant meals and entertaining (day-to-day cooking is not my thing). We love taking the kids camping in the summer, Alberta has so many amazing places to explore. I love mountain biking, skiing, reading, kayaking, exploring our river valley – anything that involves getting outdoors.
Favourite places to eat?
The food scene in Edmonton is rapidly evolving and expanding, it’s such an exciting time to Liv here. Some of my local favourites are: Rostizado, Get Cooking, Sabor/Bodega, Tzin, and Duchess.
