Born and raised in Leduc (aka “The Outdoor Experience), I have somersaulted, front-tucked and cartwheeled my way around the world and back… and I am proud to have firmly ‘stuck’ my ‘landing’ here in beautiful Leduc. Having lived on Edmonton’s front doorsteps for most of my life, I have had the advantages of utilizing the ‘Big City’ for finding amazing new restaurants, shopping and yet, enjoyed the perks of living in a ‘Small Town’. I love nothing more than retreating to one of Leduc’s beautifully maintained green spaces or parks, for an impromptu afternoon of throwing around a football and catching up with all my busy friends.
Growing up I was heavily involved in Gymnastics. I have been a professional gymnast for much of my formative and young adult years. To this day, I derive great pleasure from coaching children as young as 4 years old and I immensely enjoy helping them recognize their future potential at such a young age. I put my heart and soul into Gymnastics growing up and I have even toured Europe extensively for various competitions. My greatest accomplishment was being on the Canadian National Gymnastics Team!
Professionally, my first job, post-University, was as a Mortgage Specialist. I started my career as a Mortgage Specialist, in 2007 and to this day I am still a Licensed Mortgage Broker. I have found this to be an invaluable tool in helping to advise my clients on all facets of their Home Purchase.
The catalyst for me getting into Real Estate was my own personal first-home purchase; it was the biggest, most important purchase of my life to date and the experience could not have been more convoluted; I was completely in the dark, the whole way through! I felt very strongly that no one else should have to go through the same tornado of confusion that I did and I made it my mission to educate and inform my Buyers in a way that I never was; it was the perfect example of ‘what not to do’. I take great pride in the fact that my clients say that one of my best assets is my ‘transparency’; the minute I know something ‘new’, my clients also know!
When I’m not on the go with my clients, I’m ‘Liv’-ing it up with my family, friends and adorable students. I always enjoy taking a reprieve from the Cold Weather of Alberta, in some gorgeous tropical locale; none more picturesque than gorgeous Barbados, a place that I have been many, many times before and a place I will go many times more!
If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
My Grandad, he was from England, and he always had the best stories and some great knowledge of things back in his day that I always found so interesting. He was such a good man and a true old school gentleman.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would tell my parents to retire and buy them a home someone warm on beachfront, right next door to mine.
What’s your favourite restaurant in Edmonton?
What’s your favourite place to visit?
One of my favourite places to visit that I’ve been fortunate to visit multiple times is Barbados. My grandmother is from there, so we have a lot of family out there we can go visit and stay with. Learning the culture from the locals side is always such an experience!
If you could personally witness one event in history, what would it be?
I would love to be able to go to the Summer Olympics Games of 2004 in Greece.
If you could shop for free forever at any store, what store would it be?
WINNERS, Safeway (free groceries would be nice), or Lululemon
What’s your favourite quote?
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take- Wayne Gretzky
If you could trade places with any famous person, living or dead, who would it be, and what would you do differently?
Princess Diana…There is not a lot I would have done differently. She was a classy and kind hearted woman.
