The Area

Rosedale comprises 0.5 square kilometres of land, just south of the Trans-Canada Highway and is ideally placed near the city's centre. Despite its smaller land area, Rosedale is home to large homes with large land lots. Although the community was established in 1929, Rosedale is home to many beautiful and modern properties accentuated by mature evergreen and coniferous trees.  A Quick trip along the Bow River Pathway Bridge at Memorial Drive will get you to Prince's Island Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Calgary. The park contains picnic areas, riverside seating, paved pathways and trails, and cross-country skiing and skating on the river in the winter!

Education 

Within the community, Rosedale School accommodates students from elementary to grade nine as a joint elementary and high school. Montessori School Alberta is located within minutes of Rosedale for children between three and six.

Crescent Heights High School is the best option for high school students, with a Spanish bilingual program, Advanced Placement university courses, and off-campus work experience programs.

Delta West Academy is a nearby private option and boasts selective admissions criteria, excellent facilities, competitive athletic programs, and educational specialists. Immediately west of Rosedale is SAIT, while the University of Calgary is within 10 minutes, making Rosedale a preferred community for families with post-secondary scholars and faculty members.

Transportation & Accessibility 

Cyclists of Rosedale will enjoy ample bike lanes, routes and accessibility within the community and beyond. The University of Calgary and the Foothills Medical Centre are 20 minutes away, while the downtown core is within 10 minutes by bike.

Within Rosedale, there is one bus line that will allow for a 30-minute commute to as far north as Huntington Hills, east as Marlborough, south as Manchester, and west as Aspen Woods. You will enjoy multiple routes to the downtown core and the Foothills Medical Centre within 30 minutes.

Rosedale is highly accessible via 16th Avenue and yields access to major work centres such as the University of Calgary and the Foothills Medical Centre within 10 minutes. 

The community also enjoys easy access to the downtown core via 10th Street NW and Centre Street N for a commute of under 10 minutes.
