Heritage Lakes

Heritage Lakes is the southern-most community in St. Albert, named for the two water features located in the community. Development began in the 1980s and consists primarily of single-family homes, with some townhomes. There are a number of parks located in Heritage Lakes, including Henderson, Hodgson, Hampton, Harwood as well as École La Mission Elementary school. Scenic pathways connect the parks and ponds with the rest of the neighbourhood. Located near major transit routes (137 Avenue, Anthony Henday Drive, Sir Winston Churchill Boulevard and Ray Gibbon Drive) Heritage Lakes is extremely convenient for commuting.

Known as a family-friendly neighbourhood, Heritage Lakes residents have access to a variety of schools. Elementary schools include Albert Lacombe Catholic Elementary School, École Father Jan (French Immersion), École La Mission, Leo Nickerson, Robert Rundle, and Wild Rose.
Junior High options are École Secondaire Sainte Marguerite d’Youville (French Immersion), Sir George Simpson, and Vincent J. Maloney Catholic Junior High School. High School students can attend École Secondaire St. Albert Catholic High School (English and French Immersion), Paul Kane (for French immersion only), St. Albert Public Outreach High School, or St. Gabriel Education Centre (Outreach).

Main Routes & Local Transportation

The close proximity to Edmonton and major commuting routes like Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, Levasseur Road, 170 Street, and Anthony Henday make commuting a breeze. St. Albert Transit (StAT) services Heritage Lakes with weekday local routes, weekday commuter routes to the city of Edmonton, and Dial A Bus.
