These include; a natural playground with a multi-floor fort complete with a climbing net and a 4.5 attached slide, several pathways, a flower, and rock garden, tennis courts and baseball diamonds, picnic areas, and wetlands to enjoy in the summer.
Attached to Confederation Park is the Confederation Park Golf Course, a 9-hole course that will challenge you! You can practice your swing on a 2-level hitting bay with 47 stalls or perfect your short-range chips and putts in the practice area.
In the winter, the course is transformed into a beautiful cross-country skiing area maintained by the Foothills Nordic Ski Club. Your children will make lifelong memories in the sledding and tobogganing area! The park lights up for a dazzling display around Christmas for the Lions Festival Of Lights, a must-see for all Calgarians!

Transportation & Accessibility
Capitol Hill's central location makes it a highly accessible part of town. Many bus routes throughout the community allow for a quick trip to major shopping centres such as Market Mall and Brentwood Shopping Village and further throughout the northwest. Lions Park and SAIT LRT Stations are nearby for a northbound trip towards Tuscany or a southbound trip downtown and beyond.
The area is perfectly positioned for post-secondary students, professors, and staff, with SAIT and ACAD directly across 16 Avenue and minutes away. The University of Calgary is a four-minute commute by car and under ten minutes on a bike via 24th Avenue NW or approximately twenty-five minutes by transit.
The area is also excellent for medical professionals, with the Foothills Medical Centre and Alberta Children's Hospital accessible by similar routes and timeframes.
14th Street NW, which bisects Capitol Hill, offers an easy and direct route to the downtown core, allowing for a 15-minute trip under ideal driving conditions. You can also count on eastbound access on 16th Avenue NW to north and southbound travel on Deerfoot Trail
