The Area

Huntington Hills was annexed in 1961 and established shortly after, in 1967. Children of Huntington Hills are served by an astonishing ten public and Catholic schools within the community and the immediate area. Alex Munro SchoolCatherine Nichols Gunn School, and Huntington Hills School each offer kindergarten to grade six, with St. Henry Elementary School and St. Hubert Elementary as Catholic alternatives.

Sir John A. Macdonald and St. Helena Junior High School are middle schools that accommodate students from grades seven to nine. John G. Diefenbaker High School offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, dual credit, and off-campus work experience.

Transportation & Accessibility 

Despite the community's northward position, it is highly accessible via several different routes and bus lines. Eight bus lines operate within Huntington Hills, allowing a 30-minute commute as far north as Country Hills Village, east as the Calgary International Airport, south as the downtown core, and west as the University of Calgary.

Huntington Hills is easily accessible, with 14th Street NW, Centre Street N, and Deerfoot Trail leading to it. Residents are within 20 minutes of the downtown core, Foothills Medical Centre, and Alberta Children's Hospital.
