Vista Heights was established in 1962 and is named after its location, perched atop a hill which offers panoramic views of the Bow River, Calgary skyline, and the Canadian Rockies in the distance. There are several bus lines that operate within Vista Heights, allowing a 30-minute commute as far north as Huntington Hills, east as Temple, south as the downtown core, and west as Saint Andrews Heights.
