Transportation & Accessibility
Maneuvering through Bowness is a pleasant experience, with numerous bike trails available. The Bow River Pathway will allow for a serene 13-kilometre bike ride downtown. Additionally, there are several segmented bike lanes throughout the community.
Four bus routes within Bowness allow a 30-minute commute as far north as Tuscany, east as Varsity, and south as Rosscarrock.
There is also easy access to Stony Trail for those who seek to bypass busier routes through 16th Avenue North and Deerfoot trail, which encircles most of the city. Lovers of the mountains will enjoy quick and easy access to the Trans-Canada highway, which whisks you away, westbound to the mountains!
You will have three main routes to the downtown core by car via Bowness Road NW, eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway, or Sarcee and Bow Trail SW. With ideal driving conditions, you will get to your destination in under 25 minutes, regardless of your path.
