Although Diamond Cove was annexed in 1961, the community wasn't established until 1973. Diamond Cove is comprised of 0.5 square kilometres of land initially intended to be one of Calgary's few gated communities. Although the community is small, it is home to large, luxury, detached single-family homes, which dominate the community; less than five percent of the communities properties are apartments or condominiums.
With the beautiful Bow River Flowing to the east of the community, you will find several riverside properties with stunning views. The area enjoys exceptional safety, with minimal instances of crime. As a resident of Diamond Cove, your neighbours will be Maple Ridge, Bonavista Downs, and Queensland.
Amenities, Attractions, & Entertainment
Diamond Cove is part of a joint community association with Queensland, offering residents access to a more extensive network and community. As a member, you can expect engaging and inclusive events and programs. Golf lovers will love the proximity to Maple Ridge, Willow Park Golf Courses, and Eaglequest Driving Range are all within five minutes of Diamond Cove. Southcentre Mall is a stone's throw away, offering nearly 200 premiere shopping destinations, beauty salons, a large food court, family dining venues, and all of your daily essentials!
Parks, Trails & Green Spaces
The northern tip of Mallard Point of Fish Creek Provincial Park belongs to Diamond Cove. The community prides itself on conservation and sustainability as a member of Friends of Fish Creek Park. Mallard Point offers you hundreds of hectares of paved and unpaved trails for nature walks, personal escapes, family bike rides and off-road biking, jogs, and dog walks! You will also enjoy catch-and-release fishing in the summer!
There are three medium-sized playgrounds within the community, with modern play equipment and plenty of seating options. At the Deer Ridge and Queensland Off Leash Dog Park, your dog will have acres of space to roam free to its heart's content!
