Established in 1982, Sundance is named after the famous Sundance Kid, a notorious American outlaw from the late 1800s. Sundance has since developed into a warm and vibrant community that offers a variety of amenities and attractions to its residents and visitors. Golf lovers of Sundance also enjoy proximity to Blue Devil Golf Club, a stunning 18-hold venue with a mix of open fairways and tree-lined holes, and several water hazards throughout the course.
Parks, Trails & Green Spaces
Sundance is located near several recreational areas, including Fish Creek Provincial Park, Canada's second largest urban park. The venue features over 80 kilometres of walking and biking trails, as well as several picnic areas and a scenic river. The nearby Sikome Aquatic Facility is also a popular destination during the summer months, offering a large outdoor swimming pool and water slides. Sundance is known for its many green spaces and parks. The community features several parks and playgrounds within the community and the immediate area.

Transportation & Accessibility
Sundance is located near several major roads, including Macleod Trail and Stoney Trail, making it easy to access other areas of Calgary. Additionally, the community is serviced by four bus routes that allow a 30-minute commute as far north as Haysboro, east as Seton, and west as Bridlewood. There are also several bike paths in the area, making it easy to bike to nearby destinations.
