North Calgary has many schools that cover all age ranges in both the standard and Catholic curriculums with one of the city's largest secondary schools, Notre Dame High School, providing education to North Calgary students near one of the community's largest shopping districts: Country Hills. This area has major retailers like The Real Canadian Superstore, Canadian Tire, Home Depot and Staples next to a variety of restaurants and a Landmark Cinema. A selection of boutique shops and ethnic restaurants fit in nicely with larger chains like Ricky's All Day Grill and Swiss Chalet. The area provides shopping and entertainment to the neighbourhoods that are in the northern most part of North Calgary, proving that you do not have to venture into Downtown to spend a night out.
