The lush park sprawls over 162 hectares of land with ample green space, wetlands such as streams and still ponds, trails, flower and rock gardens, picnic areas, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond, among much more. In the summer, you will enjoy an oasis of mature Balsom Poplar, Water Birch Shrubs, and Willow Trees. And with a diversity of wildlife species, it is easy to get lost in this oasis! 

Confederation park transforms into a pristine venue for cross-country skiing and tobogganing in the wintertime! The park is home to the city's famous Lion's Festival of Lights in the winter, a dazzling display of Christmas lights and decorations which draws spectators from all over the city.

A few minutes north, you will be treated to Nose Hill Park, one of the largest urban parks in North America. The venue is home to 1129 hectares of rolling hills with elevated panoramic vantage points and sprawling hills with hiking trails, trees, shrubs, wildflowers, streams, ponds, and wildlife. Education 

Rosemont Elementary School serves Rosemont from kindergarten to grade six. Alternatively, ASASA Academy is a private option from kindergarten to grade six. The school boasts specialized programs at the primary level for success in the future.

Colonel Irvine School accommodates students from grade five until nine and offers a Mandarin bilingual program. For High School students, Crescent Heights High School offers Advanced Placement Courses, Spanish bilingual education, and off-campus work experience. 

Transportation & Accessibility 

One bus line will facilitate a 30-minute commute to as far north as Huntington Hills, east as Sunridge, south as Lower Mount Royal, and west as St. Andrews Heights. Direct routes to the downtown core will vary between a 30 and a 45-minute commute. There are also direct options to the University of Calgary and the Foothills Medical Centre for a commute ranging from 40 minutes to one hour.

By car, 14th Street NW serves as a direct access point to the downtown core within 15 minutes. Alternatively, 10th Street NW and 14th Street NW will yield access to 16th Avenue NW for a 15-minute trip downtown.

Westbound on 16th Avenue will yield access to the University of Calgary, Foothills Medical Centre, and The Alberta Children's Hospital within 15 minutes under ideal conditions
