Transportation & Accessibility
With ample bike lines within the community and throughout the downtown core, Sunnyside is considered a cyclist's dream. The cycle paths lead to the Bow River Trail, and they will get you to the downtown core in 10 minutes. Trails are available for a bike ride to the University of Calgary, the Foothills Medical Centre, and Mount Royal University within 25 minutes.
Four bus lines will allow for a 30-minute commute to as far north as Huntington Hills, east as the Calgary Zoo, south as Parkhill, and west as Parkdale. Alternatively, Sunnyside Station operates on Calgary's Blue Line, which runs east to west on the city's LRT system. The LRT will provide direct access to the downtown core or a transfer to the Red Line for further north and southbound access. By car, Sunnyside is easily accessible via Memorial Drive SW.
