The Area

As an extension of Nose Hill Park, Edgemont has an elevation of 1245 metres at its highest point, providing spectacular views of the city to the south and the Rockies to the west. 

Edgemont is one of the largest communities in Calgary, with a land area of 6.6 square kilometres; your home will likely sit on a larger-than-average plot of land. Established in 1978, it is a relatively newer community in the city and contains many modern-style houses. However, the area also has options for first-time buyers, such as condominiums and apartments! 

With stunning elevated properties on the hills, it is an exclusive locale and highly coveted area of the town. To the south is Dalhousie, with Hawkwood, The Hamptons, Hidden Valley, and Macewan all in proximity.

The institution offers young scholars The International Baccalaureate university preparatory program, the most prestigious educational program available, along with several competitive clubs, sports, and off-campus work experience. 

St. Francis High School is a Catholic school located in Collingwood. It offers Advanced Placement university preparatory courses, off-campus work experience, French immersion, off-campus work experience, and competitive clubs and sports.

Transportation & Accessibility 

Edgemont has six bus lines within the community, allowing for a 30-minute commute to as far north as Simons Valley, east as Country Hills, south as Montgomery, and west as Ranchlands. 

The community is easily accessible as it is centred between Country Hills Boulevard, Sarcee Trail NW, Shaganappi Trail NW, and John Laurie Boulevard. Each route proffers easy access to major work centres throughout the city and alternative options to reach your destination.
