University Heights is contained within a land area of 0.8 square kilometres and was established in 1963. Transportation & Accessibility 

Four bus lines run through University Heights, allowing a 30-minute commute to as far north as Edgemont, east as Tuxedo Park, south as Lincoln Park, and west as Bowness. University Station on Calgary's Red Line is easily accessible to the community, and either direct lines or a trip on the LRT will get you to the downtown core in 45 minutes. 

By car, Crowchild Trail and 16th Avenue serve as the community's main traffic arteries. Crowchild Trail will allow for a 20-commute to the downtown core via 6th Avenue SE or Memorial Drive. Westbound on 16th Avenue will whisk you away to the mountains, and you will always beat the rush if you leave early!
