Wholly handmade is a vendor market featuring 100% handmade products from 120 artisans and crafters. With everything from home decor to self-care, there is something for everyone at this amazing event. Wholly Handmade runs 7 times a year. Their partner market Nosh runs twice a year, highlighting local food and beverage producers from across Alberta, with their next event taking place in March.

Silver Skate Festival
February 10 - 20
Sir William Hawrelak Park
The Silver Skate Festival is a free 10-day family-oriented festival that combines culture, art, education, sport, and recreation. A true culmination and celebration of Edmonton and Winter culture, Edmonton's longest running winter festival has so much to offer!
- Skate along the city's largest skating pond while listening to a compilation of Edmonton-based music.
- Marvel at the artistic talents featured in the Snow Sculpture Garden.
- Enjoy Food & Beverages from Spirits on Ice in the Silver Linings heated tent.
- Enjoy more music as you stroll along the Folk Trail.
- Take in installations, stories, and a Winter Walking Ceremony at the Indigenous pavilion in the Heritage Village.
- Write out a fear or a wish to be added to the nightly Fire Sculpture.
- Compete in the Duathlon or Mammoet Winter Triathlon.

Canadian Birkebeiner Ski Festival
February 10 - 27
Various locations in Edmonton & Surrounding Areas (plus a virtual option)
Join Canada's premier classic-style cross-country ski festival. Registration is now open for both recreational and competitive cross-country ski events. "Get outdoors, get active and embrace winter!"
The event kicks off with the Nordic Fair on February 10th from noon - 8:00 pm at Woodvale Facility and Golf Clubhouse. Visit sponsor booths, pick up your registration package, and purchase a Birkie souvenir.
The Viking Feast is February 11th, also at the Woodvale Facility and Golf Clubhouse. Dine on a delicious buffet dinner, enter to win draw prizes and enjoy a slideshow of the day's ski events. Doors open at 6:00, and dinner is served at 6:30. Get your tickets here.

Skate' n' Sleigh

Bonnie Doon Centre Skating Rink
The whole family is sure to enjoy a wonderful winter day outdoors at this free family-friendly event. There will be horse-drawn sleigh rides and skating, hot chocolate provided by AUM Cafe and some very special guests: Spidey and the Ice Queen! There will be no shortage of photo ops and fun! The first 100 guests will receive a gift bag provided by MaKami College, and there will be draw prizes provided by various sponsors!

Leefield Community
Family Futures will be providing FREE indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family! Activities will include snow painting, snowshoeing, snow fort building, hot chocolate, snacks, and so much more! With indoor space to use if needed, this event will go on no matter how cold it gets.
