The Workshop is known for its unique and carefully crafted meals made with locally sourced ingredients. Welcome to week 7 of our Luv Local Eats $10K Giveaway! This week we are very excited to announce that we will be giving away 10, $100 Gift cards to The Cabin. This is especially exciting because they are reopening as of St Patrick's Day after making the difficult decision to shut down operations at the end of November due to the situation with Covid. We are so glad to see them opening their doors again and thought that this would be the perfect way to welcome them back. The Cabin is the place to go for a casual pub atmosphere, they’ve got a great menu with delicious appetizers, like their campfire Brussels and cozy comfort classics like their chalet BBQ Chicken and Skillet Mac n’ Cheese. We are officially halfway through our 10 weeks of Luv Local Eats $10K Giveaway! The response has been amazing! We are loving all the kind words being shared in the comments section of the Facebook and Instagram posts and are so grateful for your nominations. We have been able to give back to some pretty incredible people thank's to you. This week we are heading west of the city and are featuring Twenty Eight Urban Kitchen out in Stony Plain. This restaurant was chosen by one of our incredible agents, Tameka Ross. Their menu has something for everyone and the portion sizes are generous. Giveaway Announcement!

Week 1 of the giveaway is now closed - thank you to everyone who submitted nominations.

Each week for the next 10 weeks we’re going to give 10 amazing people a $100 gift for a local restaurant. That’s 10 restaurants, 100 people, for a total of $10,000 in gift cards! Why are we doing this? The short answer is that we wanted to give back to our local community. Last March our world changed, and it’s been tough for a lot of people. Local restaurants have been hit particularly hard by the restrictions we’re all living with. So we thought this would be a great way to support local businesses and people. Originally, we wanted to distribute the giftcards to front line workers, but of course, you can’t just walk into hospitals and workplaces and hand things out to people these days. So that’s why we’re asking you to nominate someone to be entered in our gift card giveaway. It could be a front line worker, or someone that has helped out or done a good deed, or someone who has been impacted by covid or is simply having a tough time. Each week we’ll have a new draw, for a different restaurant, so you can nominate someone each week by tagging them on our contest posts on Facebook or Instagram, and commenting your reason for nominating them. This week we’ve chosen to give away 10 $100 gift cards for our favourite local hangout: Rebel.

The staff at Rebel are so amazing, when you arrive you often get quite a warm welcome from Lino or Brandon, who make a point of remembering as many customers’ names as they possibly can and try to make you feel like family. Rebel has a friendly, lively atmosphere and it’s one of those places where you’re bound to run into someone you know. So even though we can’t enjoy the in-person atmosphere at Rebel right now, and we can’t wait to get back, we can enjoy some of their tasty food at home! During covid they’ve added kits you can take home and prepare yourself, meals for 2 or 4 people and even cocktail kits that come with glassware and fun add ons - and of course, you can order from their regular menu. Some of our favourites are the Crispy Brussel’s Sprouts Rebel Cheeseburger, Hart’s hot wings and our kids love the super fun confetti cake. Rebel is part of the locally owned Century Hospitality Group and the gift cards are good for any of their affiliated restaurants.
