
Looking at benchmark prices, you can get an apartment-style condo for 13% less and a townhouse for 11% less than you could five years ago while single-family homes are down about 4% in value:

For the fourth straight month, more single-family homes sold than in the previous year. 903 single-family homes were reported sold in July, an increase of 14% from last year. Sales also increased on a month-over-month basis in July, which is not typical for this time of year.
Condo sales were also up from last year - 370 condos were reported sold in July, a 3% increase:
Prices are still lower than last year. The average sale price for single-family homes was down 2.8% from last year to $424287 and the median price was down 0.8% to $385,000. The average sale price for condos was down 13% from last year to $215,772 and the median price was down 11% to $201,000.
The average price per square foot for single-family homes was down $16 to $266 and for condos was down $30 to $214:
