We had a lot to celebrate this year at The 2022 REALTORS® Ball. One of Liv Real Estate’s own was recognized for their professional excellence. We are proud to share that Deidre Harrison is this year's recipient of The Young Professional of the Year Award from the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton.

The REALTORS® Association of Edmonton’s Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes a young REALTOR® for their positive contributions to the real estate industry through hard work, determination and leadership. The recipient of this award has distinguished themselves as a leader in the industry through their achievements, professional values and ethics and their success in various challenges throughout their career.

Those who know Deidre, her peers, clients, family and friends,  know that she is more than deserving of this award.

More About Deidre: Her entry into the industry, her career and her nomination for The Young Professional of the Year Award

Sara and Sheldon first met Deidre in 2011, when she applied for an administrative assistant position at our brokerage. They knew right away, that she would be an exceptional real estate agent and offered to mentor her and help with her licensing. One of their first training sessions was at a new home construction site in early spring, and she pulled up in a beat-up old Toyota Celica and stepped out of the car in stilettos. The first lesson was - wear sensible shoes, and the second lesson was realtors don’t drive a stick shift.

Deidre is a natural leader, highly ethical and extremely hardworking, and she has personally mentored a number of agents at our brokerage; many agents turn to her for advice and support. She has also routinely put her own business on hold to help others in need. When her most recent mentee was diagnosed with cancer, Deidre jumped into action, helping with showings, key releases and client communications. She regularly demonstrates that you win by helping others.

Deidre has been recognized by her colleagues as someone who has helped, inspired or educated them as the winner of the Liv Real Estate "Team Builder Award" three times and she was the runner-up on numerous occasions. She has also received our leadership award, and for 8 years in a row has received the customer satisfaction award. Deidre currently sits on the member services committee and AREA’s Provincial Forms and Practice committee.

She has dedicated many hours to helping women recovering from addiction through one on one counselling and has spoken at the Connected Business Women Network. She has organized clothing collections for "Suit Yourself" and has volunteered with our brokerage at Edmonton's Foodbank, Habitat for Humanity, Hope Mission and Santa's Anonymous. All while maintaining a very high level of productivity.

Deidre will be the first to tell you, that she didn’t choose an easy path to get where she is today. She has overcome so much and holds herself to very high standards. She always makes sure things are done the right way, I think she might actually read the rules and the act for fun in her spare time. Kidding ;) She is the epitome of an exceptional young professional.

To Deidre,

We are so fortunate to have people like you in our industry who not only do well themselves but also want to help others achieve their dreams. Congratulations on winning the Young Professional of the Year award Deidre, it’s so well deserved and your future is very bright.
